Cristina Ungureanu was appointed Governance Manager at the Qatar Investment Authority (Doha, Qatar) in November 2021. Previously, she was Head of Corporate Governance at Eurizon Capital, the asset management company of the Italian leading banking group Intesa Sanpaolo. Before this, Cristina worked in international corporate and academic environments in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Italy, providing high-level corporate governance consulting and research to various institutions. Cristina is also Co-Chair of the ICGN Global Governance Committee, a Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute, and a Member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Association of non-executive Directors. She has a Doctorate in Finance, a Master’s in International Relations, and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Administration.

As Chief Compliance & Integrity Officer, Caroline is responsible for Global Compliance within high-risk legal areas (anti-corruption, interactions with health care professionals, data privacy, export control and competition law), to implement company legal strategy to respond to and mitigate both legal, compliance and commercial risk and to ensure effective company defence in governmental enforcement cases. Dr Emmanuel Fragnière, CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), is a Professor of Service Design and Innovation and the director of the CAS HES-SO in Treasury Management at the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO Valais). His research interests are risk management, energy and environmental planning, stochastic programming, service design, and innovation. He has published several papers in academic journals such as Annals of Operations Research, Environmental Modeling and Assessment, European Journal of Operational Research, Interfaces, and Management Science. Before joining HES-SO, he was a commodity risk analyst at Cargill (Ocean Transportation) and a senior internal auditor at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (Risk Management and Financial Engineering).
